Scam hitting Knox County Residents

Knox County Ohio Dispatch have had several calls in the last couple of days from people in the area concerned regarding a scam for jury duty with a Sgt. Thomas calling from a Centerburg phone number. He starts with only wanting to verify information and then tries to get them to go to a kiosk to get bit currency or go to their bank. If you receive a call like this just hang up the phone and report it to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office or Mount Vernon Police Department at 740-397-2222.
