On November 6th, 2023 a Knox County grand jury indicted Chad R. Taylor (age 44) for
Aggravated Murder in the October 26th death of Ronda L. Brennan (age 43).
Taylor was arrested shortly after the incident on the morning of October 26th and has
been held in the Knox County Jail since that time. Bond was set in the case at $500,000 Cash
with no 10% provision in a Mount Vernon Municipal Court hearing on October 27th, 2023; the
bond was continued by the Knox County Common Pleas Court following the grand jury
indictment.
This case is being investigated by Detectives from the Mount Vernon Police
Department with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Knox County
Coroner’s Office and the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office.
