 MVNU’s Goliards, Jazz Band team up for night of jazz, pop and Broadway 

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Goliards Chamber Choir and Jazz Band will collaborate for a jazz concert on Thursday, Nov. 16. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m., in Thorne Performance Hall in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Fine Arts Building.  

With Goliards stepping outside their comfort zone, both ensembles will present a program of jazz, pop, and Broadway standards including material from Billy Joel, Michael Bublé, Dean Sorenson, Henry Mancini and more. The two groups will join to end their concert with a fun piece, “I Could Write a Book,” from Pal Joey arranged by Darmon Meader.  

The community is encouraged to attend.
