Mount Vernon Nazarene Churches Join Together For A Weekend of Community Service

MOUNT VERNON — The four Nazarene Churches in Mount Vernon are preparing to participate in Big Serve, April 20-21, 2024. Big Serve is a Church of the Nazarene community service event with hundreds of churches participating across Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Because Mount Vernon has a unique number of Nazarene Churches, the four churches – First Naz, Lakeholm, New Life, and Shepherd’s House – are joining together for this special combined service opportunity.

The Nazarene churches are working with local non-profits, schools, and parks to organize over 30 projects for April 20-21. Projects will include power washing, painting, trash pick up, landscaping, small construction projects, and appreciation cards and gifts for local service workers. Over 500 volunteers are expected to join in the Mount Vernon Big Serve event!

Find the Mount Vernon Nazarene Churches on social media to watch Big Serve unfold in the coming week. Another press release will follow the Big Serve event with highlights of the projects.
