Mount Vernon City Schools Superintendent updates on Facility Master Plan

Mount Vernon City Schools Superintendent Bill Seder talked about the The Facility Master Plan which reached a major milestone recently as over 80 community members attended the first public presentation. The session featured input from the Ohio Facility Construction Commission, financial counsel, local principals, and district leadership, outlining a ten-month journey of planning. The plan may propose a bond issue to fund three new elementary schools while renovating both the high school and middle school, possibly closing five aging elementary buildings. Community members are encouraged to review meeting materials and presentation videos on the district website for further information.

Mount Vernon also will be having Graduation in the Fieldhouse on May 25th.
