Limitless Livestock Show coming to Knox County Fair

Patrick Frazer, Junior Fair Board President and Amy Carpenter is with the Junior Fair Board, they joined Tyler in studio Monday and talked about a new program this year called Limitless Livestock. Fraser says they got this idea after seeing it at the Marion County Fair. The Junior Fair Board is partnering with the Knox County Board of Developmental Disabilities to give children with disabilities a chance to show animals without them having to worry about purchasing them and raising them.

Ansley Daubenmeier brought this up to the Fair Board and discussed it at the Junior Fair Breakfast last week. She wanted a way to give back to the fair and brought up this idea.

People are going to donate animals to the kids to show and that will take place on Wednesday at 3pm. Goats, Pigs and Poultry will be the animals shown. There will not be placings for this event. Each participate will have a mentor with them. You can reach out to the OSU Extension office and Ansley can help if you want to donate an animal or sign up an exhibitor.
