Knox Public Health Expands Drive to Succeed Scholarship Program

Knox Public Health announces an update to its Drive to Succeed Scholarship Program, funded by a $142,000 grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office. The program now includes residents of Knox County and surrounding counties, offering driver’s education scholarships for income-eligible teens. Applications are open through June 2026 or until funds are exhausted.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ages 15-17 (some 18-year-olds considered case-by-case).
  • Reside in Knox County or surrounding counties.
  • No driver’s license or prior driver’s education.
  • Meet financial eligibility (reduced/free lunch, WIC/SNAP, or Medicaid).
  • Submit one non-family recommendation letter.

  • Confident Driving Academy
  • Driving Schools of Ohio:
    • Highland High School
    • Licking Valley Driving School
    • Mt. Gilead High School
    • Mount Vernon Education Center
    • Westerville Education Center
