Knox County Sheep Association Lamb Banquet happening in March

The annual Knox County Sheep Association Lamb Banquet will be held on Saturday,
March 15, 2025. Featured speaker for the event will be Ty Higgins. Ty is the senior
director of communications and media relations for Ohio Farm Bureau. You may have
listened to Ty on Our Ohio Weekly as he advocates for Ohio Agriculture.


The Knox County Sheep Association Inc serves Knox County sheep producers by
sponsoring educational and promotional activities that showcase the sheep industry in
the county. Over the years Knox County has consistently been one of the largest
counties in sheep numbers east of the Mississippi River.


The Knox County Sheep Association Inc has participated in Farm First Friday.
Agricultural Awareness Day and Heart of Ohio Tour. Youth are supported at the Knox
County Fair by sponsoring the Pen of Three Commercial Lambs, Bred, Born and Raised
Class, the buyer’s luncheon, Peewee Showmanship, and the Junior/Senior Sheep
Ambassador. This will be the ninth year the Knox County Sheep Association Inc has
presented a $500 scholarship to a senior in high school who exhibits a lamb at the fair
or resides on a commercial sheep farm. An auction will be held at the banquet to benefit
the scholarship fund.

Columbus Road, Fredericktown, Ohio.
