The Knox County Sheriff’s Office told us in an email that the Licking County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Knox County Commissioner and that they recused themselves because of her place in the community and that the FBI declined to take the case (the email states that the Sheriff’s Office was denied assistance and they state they have never been denied assistance from the Bureau Of Criminal Investigation whether their role is investing or assisting in the 21 years the Sheriff has been in Law Enforcement). Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost also have recused himself do to his involvement with the family of Gary and Drenda Keesee. Drenda was elected a Knox County Commissioner this past November.
According to social media videos from a family member there is alleged to have been abused by the Keesee’s son Tom. It’s alleged that members of the church that the Keesee parents head, Faith Life Church in New Albany, were also victims of this abuse. Drenda Keesee, the church co-founder, replaced longtime Knox County Commissioner Thom Collier in January.The church is located on Beech Road in far western Licking County and within the city of New Albany.
Tom Keesee, Gary and Drenda’s son, is accused of the abuse and stepped down from his role within the church in August of last year according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Knox County Commissioner’s are set to be on AM Knox County Tuesday Morning at 10am on WMVO
