Mount Vernon, OH – The Knox County Commissioners, in partnership with the Knox OneOhio Advisory Workgroup, are announcing the launch of the Knox County OneOhio Grant Program. Funded through statewide opioid settlement dollars, this program will support efforts that prevent, treat, and promote recovery from addiction—including opioid use, co-occurring substance use, and mental health conditions.
For this grant cycle, the Commissioners are seeking evidence-based or proven children and family support projects that help addiction-impacted families heal. Projects may focus on navigation of system resources, grief and trauma supports, or other innovative strategies that demonstrate creativity while achieving meaningful outcomes.
The Expression of Intent (EOI) Form is due October 3, 2025, and full applications are due October 10, 2025. Both forms can be found at https://www.knoxcf.org/apply-for-a-grant/. While the application is hosted through Knox County Foundation’s grant portal, all funding is provided directly by the Knox County Commissioners. If awarded a grant, organizations will receive funding from the Commissioners.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public charities as defined by the IRS, and government agencies. Grants are awarded for a 12-month period, and recipients must submit a semi-annual report with budget and narrative updates. Full application guidelines and criteria are available with the application materials.
The Knox OneOhio Advisory Workgroup will also host a virtual grant training and Q&A session on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Interested participants should contact Lisa Lloyd, Workgroup member, at lisa@knoxcf.org to receive the Zoom link.
“We are committed to using OneOhio settlement funds to make a lasting difference in the lives of families and children impacted by addiction,” said the Knox County Commissioners. “This grant program represents an important step toward healing and resilience in our community.”
