“Knox County Career Center Seniors Earn Cisco & CompTIA Certifications”

Mount Vernon, OH – The Knox County Career Center (KCCC) had two seniors, Logan
O’Brien and Nicholas Murphy, who earned Cisco Certified Support Technician Networking,
Cisco Certified Support Technician Cybersecurity, along with CompTIA Network+, Security+,
and Server+ certifications. Both recent graduates are from the Computer Network Technology
program at KCCC.
Cisco Certified Technicians have the skills to diagnose, restore, repair, and replace
critical Cisco networking and system devices at customer sites. The CCT certification is part of
the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum that is taught in the Computer Network Technology
lab.
The CompTIA Network+ helps develop a career in IT infrastructure covering
troubleshooting, configuring, and managing networks. CompTIA Network+ validates the
hands-on skills needed to troubleshoot, configure, and manage both wired and wireless
networks. This powerful credential will help take your IT career to the next level.
In order to earn the certification, each student has to pass a proctored exam with no
access to learning materials or the Internet. This certification is recognized by the Ohio
Department of Education and the Information Technology (IT) industry as a recognized
credential.
