KCH Auxiliary Presents Student Scholarships

The purpose of the Knox Community Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship is to provide scholarship support to Knox County high school or college students who are pursuing or plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in the Health Care field. Applications were reviewed and selected by the Knox Community Hospital Scholarship Committee, based on their scholastic standing, community involvement, and financial need. This year, 12 students were selected to receive the $1,000 scholarship award.

The Auxiliary is a group of volunteers who raise funds for these scholarships through annual fundraising events held at the hospital. Proceeds from sales in the KCH Gift Shops also support the scholarship fund.

Additionally, this was the ninth year for the Nellie & Lowell Truex Memorial Scholarship, which was awarded to Abigail Sapp from Danville High School. Abigail plans to attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University in the fall.
