“KCCC’s JROTC Hosted Raider Competition at Ariel Foundation Park”

Mount Vernon, OH – Knox County Career Center’s (KCCC) JROTC held their 11th
annual Raider Competition on Saturday, October 11th at Ariel Foundation Park.
The event featured 13 schools and 25 teams from across two states. The overall
champion of the competition was Beavercreek High School’s A team followed by Green High
School’s A team in second place. Beavercreek High School’s B team rounded out the top three
in third place.

KCCC’s A team finished in fourth place overall and the KCCC B team finished in tenth
place overall.

“This year’s competition was once again a tremendous success. We were thrilled to
welcome students from across Ohio, along with a dedicated team from Pennsylvania. The event
offers a physically demanding environment that challenges young cadets and fosters personal
growth. Through the experience, they learn to push beyond their perceived physical limits, work
cohesively as a team, and demonstrate leadership and encouragement when it matters most,”
said KCCC’s Colonel Salvucci.

He added, “It’s in this setting that we help shape today’s youth into tomorrow’s
responsible citizens, ready to lead their country. I find it incredibly rewarding to provide this
opportunity for growth–and even more inspiring to witness it unfold in real time.
