KAT can get you to where you need to go

  • Knox Area Transit received grant funding through Food For the Hungry to transport folks in Knox County free of charge to and from farmer’s markets, food pantries and free hot meal locations
  • No cost rides are available until the grant runs out
  • No cost rides are from anywhere in Knox County to any food pantry, free hot meals or farmer’s market in Knox County. Any….   Example – Centerburg does not have a farmers market but Mount Vernon does. A Centerburg resident can get a free ride from Centerburg to Mt. Vernon or Fredericktown farmer’s market and back home. Does not matter where they live in the county, they can get a ride to the available resource
  • Limit of 3 food pantry rides per week.
  • Rider needs to contact Knox Area Transit scheduling directly – 740.392.7433   Tell the scheduler that you are wanting to book a no cost trip to a food pantry, hot meal or farmer market

  • There is no demographic restriction to this program. Anyone can take advantage of the free rides
