Jazz in the Park Swings Back Into the Summer Season 

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio–The first event in Ariel-Foundation Park’s 2021 summer concert series will be held Sunday, May 29, and sees the return of Jazz in the Park, featuring the Knox Community Jazz Orchestra at 6 pm at the Schnormeier Event Center.

Jazz in the Park is a chance to reacquaint with Ariel-Foundation Park and the Schnormeier Event Center in 2022 and spend an intimate, relaxed evening with the sounds of summer returning to Knox County. 

Table seating within the Schnormeier Event Center will be for paying patrons only. Advanced reservations are encouraged. Each table seats eight guests and includes one reserved parking spot in the Schnormeier Event Center lot. Tables not booked prior to the event will be available first-come first-serve one hour before each event at a regular price. Table cost is $200 per table for traditional concerts. Table cost for the July 4th Celebration is $300 per table.

Food trucks will be available starting at 5 p.m. Beer selections will be available for sale by the Alcove Restaurant. No alcohol may be brought onto park grounds. Pets and smoking are prohibited in the event center and within the fenced area surrounding it.

Jazz in the Park will be followed by a June 18 concert featuring The Reagan Years, a perennial cover band doing the hits of the ’80s. The series also includes a 4th of July performance by Faithfully, Parrots of the Caribbean, McGuffey Lane, the Knox County Symphony, and the annual Mount Vernon High School Jacket Jam.
