Mount Vernon, OH – February is American Heart Month.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. However,
you can do a lot to protect your heart. Self-care is heart health care. Being
physically active, eating healthier foods, getting enough sleep, not smoking,
and finding ways to reduce stress are ways to help take care of our hearts.
Knox Community Hospital is scheduling 20-minute Heart Checks for $20 on
Saturday, February 1, and February 22, from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 am in the
Cardiac Rehab Unit on the 4th floor of the Wright Family Medical Pavilion.
Heart Checks include lipid panels, glucose checks, blood pressure, and body mass index screening.
Talk with your healthcare team about taking care of your heart and pursuing a heart-healthy lifestyle.
Registration is required. Call 740.393.9690 or go to
https://www.cognitoforms.com/KnoxCommunityHospital1/_20MinuteHeartCheckFeb1stAnd22nd to
