MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Are you a big fan of classic cars? Well, get ready to rev your engines and put the pedal to the metal because the First Friday Cruise-Ins are back on Public Square! Thanks to A+ Autobrokers, we can all enjoy the June 7th and August 2nd First Fridays with an awesome display of classic cars. So, whether you’re a classic car owner or just an enthusiast, come on out and join the fun!
Get ready to travel back in time to the totally tubular 1980s at the June First Friday event, brought to you by Sara Mankins! It’s going to be an epic experience and you won’t want to miss it for anything in the world. So, why not call up Doc Brown and borrow the DeLorean for the weekend? We want to see your classic 1980s cars lining up at the Public Square. And hey, all eras of classic cars are welcome too, so don’t hesitate to show off your sweet ride!
August First Friday will be here before you know it, and it’s going to be doggone amazing! Thanks to our friends at Freedom Fire Protection, we’re all set to have a paw-some time. We look forward to welcoming you and your passenger pups to the Dog Days of Summer Cruise-In on August 2nd!
To participate in the First Friday Cruise-In, vehicle owners must register through the link provided (https://forms.gle/pJKktcd3R8nHZxFo6) or by scanning the QR code. Pre-registration is free for one or both events. However, on-site registration will only be permitted if space is available and will be subject to a $25.00 late registration fee. Participants who pre-register will receive a parking tag to display in their vehicle during the event.
Check-in for the Cruise-In will begin at 4:30 p.m. All vehicles must be parked in their designated area by 5:30 p.m. and remain in place until 9:00 p.m. Cruise-in traffic must follow the designated cruise-in map and park in spaces highlighted in red.
Please note that all Cruise-In traffic must enter Public Square via Chestnut Street/North Main Street only. North Main Street onto Chestnut Street will be the only exit point available for participants leaving before 9:00 p.m. Public Square will begin two-way traffic at 4:30 p.m. to make parking easier for Cruise-In vehicles. The East High Street onto South Gay Street will be open for exiting the event beginning at 9:00 p.m.
To ensure the safety of all pedestrians, volunteers, and drivers, Cruise-In traffic will not be permitted to use South Main or West High Streets to enter or exit Public Square at any time before or during the event. Participants should avoid moving their vehicles during the event. Violators may be prohibited from returning to future First Friday Cruise-Ins.
