Eldridge to be held without Bond in Drug and Child Pornography case in Knox County

66 year old Aaron Eldridge was arraigned on Drug and Child Pornography charges Wednesday in Knox County Common Pleas Court as Prosecutors allege that Eldridge was set to flee the country to abuse young girls in the Philippines when he was arrested. Eldridge says he had a vacation planned for early April in the Philippines prior to his arrest.

Eldridge, was arrested at his Martinsburg Road home in Mount Vernon on March 3rd after the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force notified local authorities that Eldridge was sharing Child Pornography.

Police initially executed a search warrant to uncover electronic files related to child sexual abuse material. During the search, drug paraphernalia was discovered in plain view, prompting authorities to obtain a second warrant. This led to the discovery of over 100 grams of cocaine, a significant amount under Ohio law, triggering a major drug offender specification. Investigations remain ongoing, highlighting the collaborative efforts between law enforcement and technology companies in combating such crimes.

Eldridge has been initially charged with Pandering Sexually Orientated Material Involving a Minor (F-2) and Trafficking in Drugs (F-1).
Eldridge was ordered held without bond pending an Oral Hearing on March 18th at 10am. State must put on evidence and that will determine if Eldridge will be held without bond in the case.
