“Doc Talk: Weight Management”

Information about your weight is important, especially for those who struggle to maintain a healthy weight. Join us for a free “Doc Talk” on Thursday, November 30, from 5 to 6 pm. Amy Ferenbaugh, APRN-CNP, will bring us an informative discussion on obesity treatment options.

She will discuss what makes obesity a disease and not a lifestyle choice. She will also go over the two surgeries that we offer here at KCH and their success rates, the importance of nutrition and physical activity in all obesity treatments, medications, and the difference between the “medical pathway” and “surgical pathway.”

This event is open to the community and will be held in the Knox Medical Center Education Resource Room, the one-story building on the left if you enter the KCH main campus, across from the main hospital building. Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided.

To register, please call 740-393-9621.
