City of Mount Vernon Mayor on hand for Groundbreaking of Liberty Crossing Project

Mayor Matt Starr was on hand for the Groundbreaking of the Liberty Crossing Project. Mayor Starr says the housing development on Newark Road marks a new chapter in Mount Vernon. He says the housing development will bring new opportunities, growth and vibrancy to the community.

The development includes a mix of single- and multi-family homes, townhomes, and patio homes. The company will start on the southern two-thirds of the property, the patio and single-family homes.

The Mount Vernon Municipal Planning Commission approved Liberty Ridge’s development plan in January 2023.
