Blood Drives in Knox County give you chance to save lives

Idalia has forced the cancellation of more than a dozen blood drives and donation centers, resulting in hundreds of blood and platelet donations to go uncollected. The need for blood is constant, and the Red Cross is already experiencing a concerning shortfall in donations.

Those in unaffected areas are urged to make and keep blood donation appointments to ensure we can meet the needs of patients whenever and wherever they arise.

Blood drives in our area that can help locally and also in hurricane relief are:

Tuesday, 9/12, at Batemantown Methodist Church from 2-7

Wednesday, 9/13, at Fredericktown HS from 8-2 Thursday, 9/14, at Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church from 1:30-6:30

Thursday, 9/14, at Knox Community Hospital from 12-5

Friday, 9/15, at East Knox HS from 8-1

Friday, 9/15, at Glenn A Gallagher Centre at Ohio Eastern Star from 12-5
