Area Students Awarded Scholarships by KCH Auxiliary

Mount Vernon, OH The Knox Community Hospital Auxiliary recently awarded seven
$1,000 health career scholarships to area high school seniors and college juniors and seniors. Students
were considered on the basis of their scholastic standing, community involvement, as well as financial
need. Auxiliary scholarship committee members received and considered a number of applications prior
to making their selections.

The following students were chosen to receive scholarships: Isabella Adrian, Avery Bell, Anna Dinnen,
Nichole Groseclose, Lucy Ogle, Madelyn Sinsel and Avery Tucker. This was the fifth year for the Nellie &
Lowell Truex Memorial Scholarship, which was given to Celeste Swihart.

The Auxiliary is a group of volunteers that raises money for these scholarships through many annual
fundraising events. Additionally, sales in the KCH Gift Shops contribute to the scholarships that have
been awarded over the past several years.
