23 Found Guilty in Mount Vernon Municipal Court

Six Found Guilty on November 6, 2023

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found six guilty after hearings were held in
the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on November 6, 2023.


Samuel Ramos, 57, of Bellville, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.


Hunter Clemons, 20, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of aggravated menacing.


Norah Cullicott, 18, of Austin, TX, was found guilty of possession and consuming
alcohol under age.


Nathanial Wagner, 32, of Grove City, was found guilty of having an open container in a
prohibited public place.


Dalton Dague, 22, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of physical control of a motor
vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.


Yauheni Chyzhyk, 36, of Chicago, IL, was found guilty of a permit violation.


First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted these cases on behalf of the
City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville,
Fredericktown and Gambier.

Fourteen Found Guilty on November 7, 2023

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found fourteen guilty after hearings were
held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on November 7, 2023.


Robert Preece, 44, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated
menacing.

Jack Burns, 64, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of failure to confine an animal.


Andrew Wingert, 50, of Centerburg, was found guilty of two counts of failure to confine
a dog.


Brady Bemiller, 24, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of violation of a protection order.


Ryan Smith, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of obstructing official business.


Blake Kannady, 22, of Howard, was found guilty of possession of marihuana and
operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.


Destiny Smith, 21, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of failure to register a dog.


Robert Preece, 44, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while
under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to stop after an accident.


Kaitlynne Harris, 31, of Centerburg, was found guilty of driving under a FRA suspension
and operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.


Becky Glass, 61, of Gambier, was found guilty of speeding.


Heidi Jolliff, 23, of Newark, was found guilty of speeding.


Duane Jordan, 66, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.


Jose Romero Ayala, 34, of Columbus, was found guilty of driving without an operator’s
license.


Colton Mixon, 29, of Martinsburg, was found guilty of a temporary permit violation and
a stop sign violation.


First Assistant Law Director Brittany Whitney prosecuted the Bemiller case and
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of
Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville,
Fredericktown and Gambier.

Three Found Guilty on November 8, 2023

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found three guilty after hearings were held in
the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on November 8, 2023.


Benjamin Hawk, 41, of Columbus, was found guilty of speeding.


Amy Hahler, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under FRA suspension.

Wesley Addy, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under FRA suspension.
Assistant Law Director Steve Potts prosecuted these cases on behalf of the City of Mount
Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and
Gambier.
