The 2024 Knox County Internship and Job Fair event is for businesses and organizations located in Knox County to promote internship opportunities or college-required entry-level job openings.

If your company offers intern positions, this event is designed for you. Whether it is your first time offering an internship or if your business offers internships on a regular basis, we have career development professionals from our partner colleges ready to assist you.

The goal of this event is to get college students connected with Knox County companies for internship opportunities and job positions to keep college graduates working and living in Knox County.

Knox WorkDev is providing this event to help companies hire college graduates while in school and retain them once they graduate.

Students, freshman to seniors, from Kenyon College, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Central Ohio Technical College, and others will send students to this event.

You must register by January 10, 2024!

Love Potions-A Holiday Cocktail Making Class @ Kingwood Center Gardens

Join us for a fun night of cocktail-making and socializing. Learn mixology techniques and how to create two intriguing cocktails. Life-Size CandyLand @ Delaware County District Library

Join us for a game of life-sized Candy Land! We will also have candy-themed crafts and activities while you wait for your turn on our life-sized game board.
Travel through Candy Land and try to be the first to get to King Kandy’s castle. You’ll travel through the Peppermint Forest, see Gumdrop Pass, sneak by Lord Licorice, wave at Princess Frostine, and get to Candy Castle!
Stop in anytime between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Total Solar Eclipse Information at Kingwood Center Gardens @ Kingwood Center Gardens

Ohio will be the in the path of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse on April 8.  In partnership with Warren Rupp Observatory, learn what to expect including where and how to safely view this incredible phenomenon. Mount Vernon Farmers Market Vendors Meeting @ Ramser 4-H Activity Center

New and returning vendors to the Mount Vernon Farmers Market will meet in-person on Thursday, February 22 at 6 p.m. at the Ramser 4-H Activity Center, 700 Perimeter Drive, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
This informational meeting will be presented by Knox County Extension. Participants will meet the market coordinator, learn what’s new for 2024, and get questions answered.

Newark Kiwanis Club Pancake Day @ The Grove by the River

Please join us for ALL THE PANCAKES YOU CAN EAT!! Plus sausage and beverages will be included! There will be ENTERTAINMENT ALL DAY for your listening pleasure! Did we mention 50/50 tickets and a bake sale too? All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Camp O’Bannon and other Kiwanis youth programs. Here are the details:

Goodwill’s The Grove by the River, 840 Hollander Street, Newark OH ~ with plenty of free parking and easy access to the event!
TICKETS: $5.00 per person and kids age 5 & under are FREE
Carryout will be available. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Newark Kiwanis Club and will be sold at the door.

Join us to learn about the different birds that visit us once the temperature drops, and come spot some yourself! Dress warmly, but in the case of inclement weather, we may move inside. Meet at the picnic shelter and if you have binoculars, please bring them with you.
