Community Foster Care Toy Drive @ East Knox Jr/Sr High

Hundreds of kids in Knox county and Licking county foster care programs need your help this Christmas. Mr. McKowns Current Events Class is looking for toys/gifts from newborn up to 17 years old to be donated for this Christmas. Toys must be new and in their original packaging. To make a donation visit the East Knox Jr/Sr. High School during school hours (7:45 – 2:20). For monetary donations please make checks out to: (East Knox Athletic Boosters) as they have agreed to handle all money for this fundraiser and write one check at the end. Additional drop off locations will include Central Christian Church in Mount Vernon on SR 229 on Sunday (before and after early and late service). Also StorySide Church in Howard on SR 36 on Sundays (before and after early and late service). Together, as a community, we can make a difference in these kid’s lives.

Drive-Thru Chicken Dinner @ Monroe Township Fire Department

Come meet some of the Monroe Township Fire Department personnel and get your chicken dinner. The suggested donation is $10 for an adult meal and $5 for a kids’ meal. Meals include chicken, potato salad, baked beans, roll, and a cookie.
Kids, come in your Halloween costumes and get a treat bag!
Due to COVID-19, we are asking that you stay in your vehicle. We will come to take your order and deliver it to you. All of our personnel will be wearing masks and gloves for your protection and ours.
We will be accepting cash and credit/debit card.

Spirit Tours Historic Roscoe Village @ Roscoe Village

Experience our “spirited” canal town through stories of personalities, significant events, and curiosities as we stroll the brick paved sidewalks 🧱 of Historic Roscoe Village. Many of our buildings date to the early to mid-1800s and hold the secrets of those who lived years ago. In this season we celebrate all those early Roscoe residents for their hard work, tenacity and love for the village that some have not chosen to leave. 👻🕯
Please note that the majority of this year’s tour will be held outdoors with only a couple of stops in homes where the fulltime residents have been inclined to make their presence known. Tours will be held rain 🌧 or shine ☀. Tickets 🎟 are $15 each.
Tours will last approximately 2 hours and depart at 4PM.
Due to COVID we will be limiting our tickets to only 30 guests per day.

Join us for socially distant Santa photos, and enjoy a hot cocoa or freshly popped kettle corn while you Christmas shop in the general store and check local crafters and artisan vendors

These pop-up shops are free for local entrepreneurs, artists, craters, etc. and a great opportunity to support local!

Electronic Recycling Day @ Gambier Community Center

With the support of Knox County Litter Prevention and Recycling, Kenyon college hosts regular electronic recycling days at the Gambier Community Center. The program diverts electronic waste from regional landfills and ensures recyclable aspects of electronic devices. Drop offs are on the first saturday of every month.
