Upcoming presentations of Hidden In Plain Sight
MOUNT VERNON – The Knox Substance Abuse Action Team (KSAAT) in partnership with Knox Community Hospital will offer Hidden in Plain Sight presentations during July. Hidden in Plain Sight is an interactive and informative presentation for adults designed to build their awareness on items they may find in an adolescent’s room, book-bag, closet or car that indicate risky behaviors including drug and alcohol abuse. The presentation features a staged bedroom with more than 100 items that are hidden in plain sight. Attendees at earlier presentations have indicated an increased awareness in their understanding of items associated with alcohol and other drug use.
Hidden in Plain Sight presentations are free and there is no –pre-registration. The presentations are for adults only. Upcoming presentations include:
- Wednesday, July 10 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 17 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 24 9:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 31 9:00 a.m.
All presentations will take place at the Knox Community Hospital, Urgent Care Education Room

The festival is designed for family fun, while incorporating the history of Shelby Bikes that were once manufactured by the Shelby Cycle Company.
