FREE SCREENING OF, THE WIZARD OF OZ, AT THE HISTORIC WOODWARD OPERA HOUSE
On June 22, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., Knox Partnership for Arts and Culture invites everyone to a free screening of the original movie, The Wizard of Oz, to be held in the beautiful, historic Woodward Opera House in downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio.
The Wizard of Oz is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. Winner of 2 Academy Awards and nominated for 4 more, The Wizard of Oz has been delighting audiences, young and old, for 8 decades. And, if you haven’t had a chance to see the beautifully renovated Woodward Opera House, America’s oldest authentically restored theater, you are in for a real treat! Bring all your family and friends to enjoy this free showing of The Wizard of Oz!

1. SPI – the spot where STEM learning and play intersect – still has space in its summer camp programs: “Trash to Treasure” runs half days during the week of June 24. Campers grow food, learn about pollinators, and experiment with compost. Or, kids can also choose SPI’s “Woods & Water Wandering” program or LEGO robotics options the week of June 10.
