Affordable Health Screening
Available to anyone- no doctor order needed
June 5, 6 and 7
Beginning at 6:30 am
Main Laboratory- KCH
A completed Health Awareness Screening consent form is required

Eligibility: 18 years and older, the screening only needs to be completed once per year unless there are underlying medical issues that need more frequent monitoring ex- A1c quarterly for diabetics.

Knox Community Hospital will offer a blood profile for $45.00. Payment must be cash or check made payable to Knox Community Hospital and paid before blood is drawn.

The $45 profile will include:
Basic Metabolic Panel
Complete Blood Count
A1c and Lipid Panel

Testing available at an additional charge:
A1c $20.00
TSH Cascade $25.00
PSA $25.00
Testosterone $25.00
Lipid Panel (a 10-12 hour fast is recommended) $20.00
Hepatitis C antibody $30.00
NOTE: KCH is mandated by the State to report all positive results to the Health Department
Vitamin D $35.00

A 10-12 hour fast is recommended for the profile and lipid testing.

Physician orders for additional testing will not be accepted at the screening.

Results will be mailed to your address.
It is your responsibility to share results with your provider.

KenyonFit and the Brown Family Environmental Center are excited to announce a Leave No Trace Trainer Certification Course, from June 7-9 at the BFEC.

Participants in the course will become certified to lead Leave No Trace Awareness workshops, which teach participants the Seven Principles of responsible use of the outdoors for recreational activities. During the course, participants will camp out for a weekend at the BFEC, practicing the seven principles and learning techniques to effectively instruct others on how to be a good steward for the outdoors. The course is open to those 14 years and older. All course materials, food and snacks are provided.

SPI Spot- BOGO during 1st Friday @ SPI Spot

1. SPI – the spot where STEM learning and play intersect – still has space in its summer camp programs:  “Trash to Treasure” runs half days during the week of June 24.  Campers grow food, learn about pollinators, and experiment with compost. Or, kids can also choose SPI’s “Woods & Water Wandering” program or LEGO robotics options the week of June 10. 2. SPI is offering buy one get one free admission between 3 and 5 pm on June 7 to encourage families to get downtown to enjoy the FIRST First Friday of summer!  Visitors can come to SPI to play, then make their way one block north to enjoy community festivities.
