Delaware Lions 68 th Annual Pancake Day
Saturday February 9, 2019
Dempsey Middle School

The February 9, 2019 Delaware Lions 68 th Pancake Day is being held at
Dempsey Middle School on Pennsylvania Avenue and is the largest fundraising
event held by our club each year. We are requesting your support again this
year of the raffle that is part of this event. The money raised last year helped our
club be able to provide funding for:

The Lions Eye Bank Lions Eye Research People in Need
Diabetes (the leading cause of preventable blindness)
Lions Club International Foundation LCIF (which provides relief during disasters)
Eye exams for Delaware residents and their children
Eye glasses for Delaware residents and their children
Grace Clinic
Seeing Eye Dog (a golden retriever for a local blind woman)Pancake 2019

This year’s raffle will continue to enable the Delaware Lions to help people that
are blind or visually impaired.
We have purchased four Pilot Dogs during the last six years, one just last year.
We met the woman and her dog (a golden retriever) at a club meeting. Her
previous dog had been retired due to its age and physical health. She told us
that the new dog was her third “seeing eye” dog and that she would be lost
without it.
We thank you for your past support and look forward to your continued support.
