July 8, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

SENIOR CONVERSATIONS

This series is presented by Hospice of the Western Reserve and will be hosted  at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County (201 N Mulberry St, Mt.  Vernon, OH) in the Multipurpose Room. Join us as we explore different topics  that matter to seniors and their caregivers.

TUESDAY, JULY 8 @ 2PM | “IMPACT AND BENEFITS OF PETS”

Explore how pets enhance our lives physically and mentally. Learn about service animals, specifically dogs, that are individually trained to perform  tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical,

sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disability. Become familiar  with the objective, roles and goals of Pet Therapy Dogs. We will discuss how  Pet Therapy reduces stress for the recipient and gain a better understanding of  ways to memorialize our pets. You will also meet Mark and his Golden Retriever,  Cooper, to hear about the impacts they have made in our community.

Please call 740.507.0072 to RSVP.
