Free Program Helps Families Break the Cycle of Anxiety
Fear-Less Triple P equips parents with proven strategies to support children and teens
Worry and anxiety are a normal part of growing up, but for some children and teenagers, these feelings can become overwhelming and interfere with daily life. To help families build confidence and manage stress, the Knox Parent Support Initiative is offering the Fear-Less Triple P program this November and December—free for parents and caregivers living or working in Knox County.
Fear-Less Triple P is an evidence-based program that gives parents practical tools to help children and teens overcome anxiety. The program is proven to reduce anxious feelings, not just for one child, but for the whole family. Parents who attend will learn how to:
- Better understand anxiety and how to reduce it
- Respond in ways that support—not escalate—their child’s worries
- Teach coping skills and problem-solving strategies
- Build resilience through proven techniques and positive support
Upcoming Fear-Less Triple P Sessions:
- Dates: Wednesdays, November 5 – December 10
- Time: 5:45–7:45 p.m.
- Location: 212 North Main St, Mount Vernon, New Directions Conference Room
- Registration: www.triplep-parenting.com/knox
- Phone/Email: 740-397-2840 | psiknox@gmail.com
To encourage participation, families who complete all six sessions will receive a $60 gift card. Childcare reimbursement is also available.
“This program is about giving parents confidence and strategies so they can help their children manage worries in healthy ways,” said Susan McDonald, Accredited Triple P Practitioner. “When parents have the tools to respond calmly and effectively, the whole family benefits.”
All Triple P support is free to Knox County parents, grandparents, and caregivers, thanks to funding through the Ariel Foundation and United Way of Knox County.
