Knox County Sheriff’s Office update on ongoing investigation on Bell Church Road

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Knox County Coroner’s Office,  continues to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Mary Warboy.  The individual was positively identified on July 25, 2025, through forensic dental analysis.  Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are pursuing all investigative leads and examining  the possibility of foul play. Trapping and testing of mosquitoes in Knox County have resulted in the second positive identification of West Nile Virus (WNV) in Knox County.
