The Knox County Chamber of Commerce will once again host its annual Junior Fair Breakfast, bringing community members together to support local youth and raise funds for Junior Fair awards.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, at the Ramser 4-H Activity Center on the Knox County Fairgrounds, located at 700 Perimeter Drive. Doors will open at 8 a.m., with the program beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m.
The breakfast serves as an opportunity for residents, business leaders, and community supporters to recognize the hard work and dedication of Knox County Junior Fair participants. Students representing 4-H, FFA, Grange, Scouts, and Cloverbuds programs will share their experiences and discuss the projects they have prepared for this year’s fair.
“The Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this annual event and partner with CES Credit Union as our corporate sponsor,” said Knox County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jill McCartney. “Both our organizations recognize the many benefits Junior Fair participants gain through their program—from enhancing their leadership skills to gaining confidence, discipline, and so much more.”
Proceeds from the breakfast will support the Knox County Junior Fair Awards program, helping recognize the accomplishments of local youth exhibitors.
CES Credit Union Marketing Director James McLaughlin said the event highlights the value of youth agricultural and leadership programs.
“We know the young women and men in these programs put in a lot of hard work and learn new skills, like public speaking and showmanship,” McLaughlin said. “History shows these programs produce some of the best future citizens, business owners, employees and leaders in our county.”
Organizers say the breakfast has become a community tradition and offers attendees a chance to hear directly from the young people who help make the Knox County Fair a success each year.
Space for the event is limited, and advance registration is required. The registration and cancellation deadline is Wednesday, July 1. The event is non-refundable.
