Knox Public Health Scam Alert Impersonator Visiting Homes

Knox Public Health has been informed that someone is visiting homes in a
around Knox County claiming to be an employee of the health department.
The individual is claiming they need to discuss retirement benefits or Medicare.
Knox Public Health wants to remind everyone that:

• The Health Department does NOT send staff to homes unannounced.
• All legitimate employees carry official photo ID badges.
• Knox Public Health never asks for personal, financial, or Medicare
  information at their doors.
  And if someone comes to your home making these claims, do NOT provide any information. Call the police immediately to report the incident.
