Two Killed in Morrow County Crash, Third Person Seriously Injured

A Mount Gilead man and his 10‑year‑old daughter were killed Sunday evening in a two‑vehicle crash on Morrow County Road 25 near Ohio 61, according to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened at 6:56 p.m. when a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven eastbound by 27‑year‑old Skylar Beveridge traveled left of center and was struck on the passenger side by a westbound 2011 GMC Sierra driven by 18‑year‑old Brody Vance of Marion.

Beveridge was taken to Morrow County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His daughter, a passenger in the Jeep, died at the scene. The patrol said neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.

Vance was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Morrow County EMS, and Delaware County EMS. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected, and the crash remains under investigation.
