Mount Vernon Mayor Matt Starr responds about Systems with the City

The city of Mount Vernon finance department is currently undergoing significant changes due to system failures that have affected bill payments and payroll accuracy. Recent developments have led to the termination of an agreement with McDaniel CPAs, who were contracted to assist in transitioning to a new payroll system.

The reason cited for this termination was a lack of cooperation from the city’s side.
